Interlux® To Feature New Perfection Plus, Pacifica Plus,
Trilux® 33™ Aerosol & New 3-Gallon Professional Pails
At 2010 Miami International Boat Show

UNION, NEW JERSEY (USA) – Interlux®, a division of Akzo Nobel and the leading manufacturer of high performance yacht coatings, will feature its new Perfection Plus varnish, Pacifica Plus bottom paint & Trilux® 33™ aerosol at the 2010 Miami International Boat Show, booth M69 in the Miami Beach Convention Center. In addition, the new three gallon pack size – available in a number of product lines – will be on display.
Perfection Plus
Perfection Plus is a clear, two-part polyurethane with prolonged chemical and abrasion resistance and superior UV protection that can be applied direct to substrate or, alternatively, used in conjunction with Clear Wood Sealer – a fast-drying, colorless, two-part polyurethane primer – to reach up to as much as 40% reduction in process time, saving significant costs for boat builders and boat yards.
Pacifica Plus
Pacifica Plus is the first bottom paint in the yacht market with Econea™. A copper-free antifouling, Pacifica Plus is an ablative paint formulated to meet the most stringent VOC regulations in the country. It wears away over time, which reduces paint build-up and minimizes surface preparation when it is time to recoat. Boatyards will love its fast dry properties, which allow boats to be painted and launched the same day. Ideal for use on all underwater metal surfaces (including aluminum), fiberglass and wood. The high solids, low emissions formula of Pacifica Plus has proven effective for power and sail boats.
Trilux® 33™ Aerosol
Trilux 33 Aerosol antifouling paint is specially formulated for aluminum outboards, outdrives and aluminum hulls in fresh, salt and brackish water. It uses two biocides and Biolux technology to control slime growth. Dries to the touch in one hour or less and boats can be put back in the water generally within 24 hours. Available in white or black.
Three-Gallon Pails For Boatyards & Builders
Interlux now offers cost-effective 3-gallon pails of Micron® 66®, Trilux® 33, Ultra™ , ACT, Fiberglass Bottomkote® Classic, Fiberglass Bottomkote® Aqua (all in black and blue) and Interprotect 2000E (in grey and white), designed especially for professional use. Ideal for painting medium-to-large boats, or simply high production yards, the rimless pails reduce paint waste and there are fewer cans to be disposed of for RCRA regulations.
