Demon Alert Ltd To Distribute Paradox Marine
Boat Security Systems In The UK
FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) - Leading boat security systems supplier Paradox Marine has appointed Demon Alert Ltd to distribute its products in the United Kingdom.
From its headquarters in Addlestone, Surrey, Demon Alert will provide sales, service and technical support in the UK for Paradox Marine’s full range of security systems for boats, yachts and commercial vessels.
Paradox Marine products include the Magellan Insight GPS DVR, NAV-TRACKER 2.0 and Inferno Acoustic Deterrents Boat Security Systems.

Insight includes all the components necessary to help protect a boat and keep an eye on exactly what is happening onboard at all times. The system sends emails and text messages when events occur and saves a snapshot or video clip to the user’s account which is accessible on any computer or mobile phone with internet access. The owner sees what the camera sees when motion is detected and it also allows the owner to login and view streaming video off the boat on their computer or cell phone.
In addition, Insight notifies a boat owner or captain with a phone call if there’s high water in the bilge, low battery voltage, loss of shore power, smoke or intrusion. If the boat is moved without authorization or stolen, Insight will send emails or text messages every 15 minutes (programmable) with the vessel’s speed, heading, latitude and longitude and distance to closest city.
Connected to the internet through a 3G GSM communication device, Insight provides complete access to a boat from any computer with internet access or through a web-enabled mobile phone. The system has complete GPS tracking through the Inmarsat IsatM2M network and will report alarm notifications from anywhere in the world. When in 3G range, Insight will report alarms with a voice message and/or email and/or SMS text message and allow owners to view live video feeds off the boat. The system will also interface with onboard satellite equipment for global video streaming and two-way voice communication.
Owners and captains have a personalized, password-protected web page to view live streaming video from onboard cameras and archived footage from triggered events. (Insight DVR adds the ability to record and store 30 days of video from 4 onboard cameras.) Onboard security cameras can be armed, disarmed and controlled from the website.

The NAV-TRACKER 2.0 GPS Tracking System keeps owners or captains informed of a boat’s location through a GPS tracking service using the Inmarsat satellite network.
The system sets a 500 Meter geo-fence (radius) around the vessel when armed. In the event of geo-fence breach or if any of the optional sensors go into alarm mode, the system will send up to 10 emails or text messages with latitude, longitude, speed and heading. It will continue to send messages every 15 minutes (programmable) until the vessel returns to the geo-fence area or the system is disarmed.
The systems’ optional sensors include door contacts, infrared beam sensors, deck pressure sensors, engine removal sensors and high water sensors. There is also an optional 130 decibel siren that can be added for extra protection.

Inferno Acoustic Deterrents feature state-of-the-art acoustic technology generates a patented, unbearable frequency pattern that immediately disrupts the activities of onboard intruders - such as terrorists, pirates or robbers - and buys time for crews to reach safe havens. Each unit has built-in sabotage protection with a long-life battery. A durable aluminum and steel casing is specially powder coated for protection against the harsh marine environment. A single unit covers areas up to 750 square feet. Larger areas can be covered with several units.
Inferno is available as a standalone deterrent or integrated into Paradox Marine’s comprehensive vessel security, monitoring, tracking & surveillance systems.

Paradox Marine Nav-Tracker GPS Tracking System
To Track Progress of 2010 World ARC Rally Boat Liza
World Cruising Club Circumnavigation Starts January 6 in St. Lucia

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) – The Nav-Tracker GPS tracking system from boat security systems supplier Paradox Marine will be used to monitor the progress of Liza, a Outremer 13-meter catamaran participating in the 2010 World ARC Rally, organized by the World Cruising Club. Over 30 boats will leave St. Lucia on January 6 to cruise across the world’s great oceans on a circumnavigation of the globe, returning to the Caribbean about 15 months later.
Nav-Tracker can be used to track a boat (or an entire fleet) from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. A boat can also be viewed on Google Earth and as new reports come in from Nav-Tracker, they are automatically updated to the site.
“With Nav-Tracker installed aboard Liza for the 2010 World ARC Rally, we have an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the unique vessel tracking and monitoring capabilities of our system literally around the world,” said Paradox Marine President Jay Keenan.

When a Nav-Tracker transmitter is mounted on a vessel and armed, a wireless ‘geo-fence’ with a 500-meter radius is created. If a boat is moved outside of this fence, Nav-Tracker uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to ten people by email and/or text message every 2 minutes with the latitude/longitude, speed and heading of the vessel.

Nav-Tracker can be used to track one boat or an entire fleet from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. A fleet can also be viewed on Google Earth and as new reports come in from Nav-Tracker, they are automatically updated.
When a Nav-Tracker transmitter is mounted on a vessel and armed, a wireless ‘geo-fence’ with a 500-meter radius is created. Inferno offers state-of-the-art acoustic technology to support the maritime industry’s compliance with the US Coast Guard’s Maritime Security Directive 104-6, which requires U.S. flagged vessels that operate in high risk waters to have security protocols in place to deter, detect and disrupt piracy.
Inferno generates a patented, unbearable frequency pattern that immediately disrupts the activities of onboard intruders - such as terrorists, pirates or robbers - and buys time for crews to reach safe havens. Each unit has built-in sabotage protection with a long-life battery. A durable aluminum and steel casing is specially powder coated for protection against the harsh marine environment. The photo below was taken at 10 pm - actual lighting conditions on the left - and what the camera saw on the right.

Paradox Marine Named Exclusive Global Marine Distributor
Of Inferno Acoustic Deterrent
Inferno Intenso Sound Barriers Stop Intruders In Their Tracks
FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) - Boat security systems supplier Paradox Marine now offers state-of-the-art acoustic technology to protect yachts, boats and marinas from intruders.

Inferno Intenso Sound Barriers generate a patented, unbearable noise frequency pattern that immediately immobilizes onboard intruders, robbing them of the time between alarm activation and arrival of security or law enforcement. A single Inferno Intenso covers up to 750 square feet. Larger areas can be covered with several units. Inferno Intenso has passed the demanding testing procedures of the US Department of State for use in security applications.
“Inferno Intenso will be available as a standalone deterrent or integrated into our comprehensive boat security, monitoring, tracking & surveillance systems to offer boat owners additional peace of mind when they are away from their vessels,” said Paradox Marine President Jay Keenan.
As a sound barrier, the noise pattern emitted by the Inferno causes an intruder to immediately modify his behavior. As an attention-getting siren, the unique and loud noise pattern clearly stands out from background or other noise. Each unit has built-in sabotage protection and a long-life battery. A durable aluminum and steel casing is specially coated for protection against the harsh marine environment.
“Paradox Marine and their state of the art line of marine security products is a perfect fit for Inferno’s technology. The need for increased marine security applications is becoming a necessity and I am very pleased to have Inferno in their family of systems to offer enhanced deterrence, security and reporting for the boating industry. Inferno’s patented frequency spectrum may deter or even prevent theft upon alarm activation and therefore prevent the event itself from occurring,” said Dr. Maurice D. Goldman, Managing Director of Inferno.
For more information about Inferno Intenso and other Paradox Marine boat security, monitoring, tracking and surveillance products, visit www.paradoxmarine.com or call 1+954.565.9898. Paradox Marine, Inferno Offer Technology To Support
Compliance With New US Coast Guard Maritime Security Directive
FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA), May 21, 2009 - Vessel security systems supplier Paradox Marine and acoustic security barrier supplier Inferno have teamed up to offer state-of-the-art acoustic technology to support the maritime industry’s compliance with the US Coast Guard’s newly-issued Maritime Security Directive 104-6.
The new directive requires U.S. flagged vessels that operate in high risk waters to have security protocols in place by May 25 to deter, detect and disrupt piracy.
Earlier this week, Paradox Marine CEO Jay Keenan and Inferno Managing Director Dr. Maurice D. Goldman inspected and surveyed a Class C Cargo Container and conducted a briefing illustrating the application of Inferno Intenso Sound Barriers, now available from Paradox Marine.

Inferno Intenso generates a patented, unbearable noise frequency pattern that immediately disrupts the activities of onboard intruders - such as terrorists, pirates or robbers - and buys time for crews to reach safe havens. Each unit has built-in sabotage protection and a long-life battery. A durable aluminum and steel casing is specially coated for protection against the harsh marine environment. A single unit covers areas up to 750 square feet. Larger areas can be covered with several units. Inferno Intenso also provides solutions for land based applications.
Inferno Intenso is also available as a standalone deterrent or integrated into Paradox Marine’s comprehensive vessel security, tracking and monitoring systems. These tracking and sensing systems allow real time reporting and detection of intruders and also can monitor both accurate position and conditions thru the Inmarsat systems with their Nav-Tracker and Marine Magellan systems.
After the briefing, Keenan and Goldman issued a joint statement. “The current conditions in the shipping world and the new Coast Guard directive clearly show the forward direction of both the U.S. agencies and the maritime industry in addressing this critical issue. We are serious about our commitment in being able to assist the industry in detecting, deterring and disrupting acts of piracy. Our companies and our unique products in particular provide excellent opportunities to quickly assist in filling the requirements of this directive and we are proactive and already providing options within a week of this directive."

Paradox Marine Introduces Nav-Tracker 2.0 SmartKEY
RFID technology allows automatic system arming and disarming
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA) – Boat security systems supplier Paradox Marine has enhanced its Nav-Tracker 2.0 wireless boat location and GPS tracking system with SmartKEY, which automatically disarms the system when the vessel operator boards the vessel and re-arms it when the operator disembarks.
SmartKEY uses RFID technology that allows for ‘no touch’ arming and disarming of the Nav-Tracker 2.0 system. There are no buttons to push or keys to turn. With a SmartKEY in range,
Nav-Tracker 2.0 is disarmed. When a SmartKEY is out of range for more than 60 seconds or is turned off, the system will re-arm itself.
How SmartKEY Works
The Nav-Tracker 2.0 SmartKEY is comprised of a state-of-the-art wireless 2.4GHz Active RFID technology with a transmitter paired with a receiver packaged inside of the Nav-Tracker 2.0 control unit operating on a proprietary frequency. The SmartKEY transmits 10 data packs per second when turned on. When it is in range of the Nav-Tracker 2.0, the SmartKEY disarms the system, and it will remain disarmed until it stops receiving the data packets for more than 60 seconds. This provides an extremely high level of security by automatically arming and disarming the system when the operator arrives or leaves the vessel – there’s no more need to remember to arm or disarm the Nav-Tracker 2.0.

About Nav-Tracker 2.0
When a Nav-Tracker 2.0 transmitter is mounted discreetly on a boat, a wireless ‘fence’ with a 500-meter range is created. If a boat is moved outside of this fence, Nav-Tracker 2.0 uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to four people by email and/or text message every 15 minutes with the latitude/longitude, speed, heading and distance to closest city.
As many as 27,000 boats are stolen annually and the odds of recovery are only about 1 in 10, according to the International Association of Marine Investigators. “Alarms and other deterrents are not enough. However, with a Nav-Tracker on board, if your boat is stolen, you’ll have a much better chance of getting it back,” said Jay Keenan, Paradox Marine President & CEO.
Some insurance companies now require GPS tracking devices to be installed on certain types of boats, including high performance boats and boats with triple high-horsepower outboards.

Paradox Marine NAV-TRACKER 2.0 Boat Tracking System
To Be Featured At Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 26-29
GPS Tracking System Helps Locate, Recover Stolen Boats
See in Clematis Tent, Booth 576
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA) – The Nav-Tracker 2.0 GPS tracking system from wireless boat security systems supplier Paradox Marine will be a featured product at the 2009 Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 26-29 along the Intracoastal Waterway in West Palm Beach. (Clematis Tent, Booth 576)
Recently, Nav-Tracker 2.0 helped a sheriff’s department in Florida quickly locate and recover a stolen 34-foot SeaVee the thieves planned to use to transport Cuban refugees from Mexico. When the sheriff located the vessel there were 11 people onboard with over 800 gallons of fuel. They were able to catch several of the thieves and found the locations of the last four boats they stole on their handheld GPS units, as well as the main pickup point they were using in Mexico to smuggle illegal immigrants into the US. Using the evidence obtained during the recovery, the US Navy also identified an area of the Gulf it had not previously been patrolling in search of illegal immigration activity.

When a Nav-Tracker 2.0 transmitter is mounted discreetly on a boat, a wireless ‘geo-fence’ with a 500-meter radius is created. If a boat is moved outside of this geo-fence, the Nav-Tracker 2.0 uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to ten people by email and/or text message every 15 minutes with the latitude/longitude, speed, heading and distance to closest city.
As many as 27,000 boats are stolen annually and the odds of recovery are only about 1 in 10, according to the International Association of Marine Investigators. “With a Nav-Tracker 2.0 onboard, we have experienced the successful recovery of vessels unharmed, in less than one hour,” said Jay Keenan, Paradox Marine President & CEO.

Tracking Device Leads Florida Sheriff's Department To Stolen Boat Within 60 Minutes
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA) – A 35-foot Fountain equipped with the Nav-Tracker 2.0 wireless boat location and GPS tracking system from Paradox Marine helped the Broward County, Florida Sheriff's Department recover the $200,000 boat within 60 minutes on Saturday (January 3).
Boat owner Alberto Verdesi had installed the Nav-Tracker system in October. About 6 am ET on Saturday morning, Nav-Tracker sent a text message to Verdesi's cell phone that his boat was on the move without his permission and where it was headed. He called the Broward Sheriff's Department, which dispatched a helicopter to locate the boat. When the helicopter flew over the location, the thieves ran off, but the $200,000 boat was recovered in good shape.

Nav-Tracker 2.0 Locates Stolen Boat In The Bahamas
Contender Recovered By US Coast Guard 12 Hours Later
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA) – A 34-foot Contender equipped with the Nav-Tracker 2.0 wireless boat location and GPS tracking system from Paradox Marine, stolen from Marsh Harbor in the Bahamas around midnight last Wednesday (September 17) local time, was located by the system and recovered in the vicinity by the US Coast Guard about 12 hours later.

When a Nav-Tracker 2.0 transmitter is mounted discreetly on a boat, a wireless ‘fence’ with a 500-meter range is created. If a boat is moved outside of this fence, Nav-Tracker 2.0 uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to four people by email and/or text message every 15 minutes with the latitude/longitude, speed, heading and distance to the closest city.
As many as 27,000 boats are stolen annually and the odds of recovery are only about 1 in 10, according to the International Association of Marine Investigators. “Alarms and other deterrents are not enough. However, with a Nav-Tracker on board, if your boat is stolen, you’ll have a much better chance of getting it back,” said Jay Keenan, Paradox Marine Vice President of Marketing.

New Analog To Digital Converter From Paradox Marine
Allows Internet Viewing Of Onboard Yacht CCTV Surveillance Images
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA) – Boat security systems supplier Paradox Marine has introduced a analog to digital (A/D) converter to enable yacht owners and captains to view images captured by onboard CCTV surveillance cameras over the Internet.

The new A/D converter (inset in photo at left) connects to the Paradox Marine WatchMate yacht monitoring system, which enables monitoring of conditions on board from anywhere on a PC or mobile phone with Internet access.
“Many boats already have surveillance cameras on board, but the signal is analog so there’s no way to view the images remotely. Our new A/D converter solves this problem,” said Jay Keenan, Paradox Marine Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
Marine Watchmate, introduced at the Miami International Boat Show earlier this year, allows users to watch live video of their yacht, be alerted if temperature rises above a pre-set level, if water is detected in bilge or living areas, if motion is detected in a private area, or even if the yacht loses shore power.
The system is virtually plug n' play and easy to set up.
Marine Watchmate features:
• Cameras for live video monitoring from anywhere (cabin & deck available)
• Water sensors for bilge and living areas
• Temperature sensors for salon & engine room
• Motion & door sensors to secure your yacht when you're away
• Power controls for lighting, HVAC and appliances
• Sirens alert you when sensors are triggered
• Battery backup alerts you when shore power is lost
• Provides internet access for remote email

Keep Track Of Your Tender With Nav-Tracker 2.0 TenderTAG
400 Foot Range For Unique Wireless Leash
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA) – Boat security systems supplier Paradox Marine has introduced Nav-Tracker 2.0 TenderTAG, an enhanced model of its Nav-Tracker 2.0 wireless boat location and GPS tracking system. TenderTAG activates an alarm when a tender is separated from the master craft, which can happen if a tow line breaks, the tender sinks, or it’s stolen.
When a Nav-Tracker 2.0 TenderTAG transmitter is mounted discreetly on a tender, a wireless ‘leash’ with a programmable range from 100 to 400 feet is created. The Nav-Tracker 2.0 receiver on board the boat or yacht will not only alert you if the leash is broken - with the flick of a switch you can also disable the tender’s engine. An additional switch is available to remotely turn on the tender’s navigation lights for night time towing.

Nav-Tracker 2.0 uses Inmarsat based GPS satellite technology to monitor a boat’s location and notify up to four people by email and/or text message every 15 minutes with the latitude/longitude, speed and heading if it is moved outside of a “geo-fence” with a 500-foot radius. The system will also send several daily status reports.
A message from Nav-Tracker 2.0 would look like this:
