$25 Consumer Rebate on Autotether™ Products
Now Through July 31, 2012

EAST HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT (USA) – Now through July 31, 2012, Autotether™ is offering a $25 mail-in rebate to consumers purchasing the company’s Wireless Kill Switch System or its Screamer Wireless Alarm System from any Autotether dealer.

Autotether Wireless Kill Switch System
Autotether Wireless Kill Switch System

Unlike traditional lanyards that come standard with most boats and require the operator to be tethered to the boat, the patented Autotether Kill Switch is an easy-to-install, unobtrusive wireless system. No wiring or tools are required – the base unit clips to the boat ignition switch and is self-powered with AAA batteries.

According to the U.S. Coast Guard statistics, 70% of all accidents on the water involve falling overboard and collisions. The motor should stop immediately to prevent injuries. Operating via a transmitter that sends radio waves to a receiver connected to a boat’s engine, Autotether shuts off the engine if the boat operator, passengers or pets wearing the Autotether wireless sensors fall into the water. The boat engine can also be shut off at any time by pushing the red button on the wireless sensor.

Autotether Screamer Wireless Alarm System
Autotether Screamer Wireless Alarm System

The Autotether Screamer Wireless Alarm System is designed specifically for sailors. The Screamer sounds a 105 db alarm in a man overboard situation. The Screamer sensor also has a panic button that can be activated manually by the wearer in the event of an emergency.

Autotether™ Wireless Kill Switch Named Best New Safety Device
For Anglers By Outdoor Canada Magazine

CHESTER, CONNECTICUT (USA) – In its annual review of the best products for anglers, Outdoor Canada magazine has selected the wireless kill switch manufactured by Autotether™ as the Best New Safety Device for 2012.

“For whatever reason, many anglers fail to tether themselves to their boat motor’s kill switch. Well, now they don’t need to – at least not physically – thanks to the Autotether wireless lanyard system,” wrote Outdoor Canada Fishing editor Gord Pyzer.

Autotether Wireless Kill Switch System

The patented Autotether Wireless Kill Switch System (shown right, above) is an easy-to-install, unobtrusive wireless unit. No wiring or tools are required – the system clips to the existing kill switch and is self-powered with AAA batteries. A small personal sensor sends radio waves to a receiver connected to a boat’s engine and Autotether shuts off the engine if the boat operator falls into the water. It also sets off an alarm if passengers on the boat wearing the Autotether sensors (including children and pets) fall into the water. The passenger sensors can also shut off the boat’s engine when the red alert button is pushed in the event of a runaway boat.

Some insurance companies offer a discount on boat insurance for boats equipped with an Autotether Wireless Kill Switch System. For more information, visit www.autotether.com, call 1+860.526.1700 or watch the videos at: www.youtube.com/autotether.
