Kilmarnock, Virginia (USA) – Autotether™, manufacturer of wireless kill switches, has chosen Home Port Marine Marketing to help the company develop the global distribution network for its product line and to provide product publicity and promotion services.
Unlike traditional lanyards that come standard with boats and require the operator to be tethered to the boat, the patented Autotether kill switch is an easy-to-install, unobtrusive wireless unit. No wiring or tools are required – the system clips to the boat ignition switch and is self-powered with AAA batteries. Operating via transmitter that sends radio waves to a receiver connected to a boat’s engine, Autotether shuts off the engine if the boat operator falls into the water. It also sets off an alarm in the event that passengers (or pets) wearing the Autotether sensors on the boat fall into the water. The passenger sensors can also shut off the boat’s engine when the red alert button is pushed if you have a runaway boat.
Autotether also manufactures the Screamer Wireless Alarm System, a portable MOB device designed specifically for sailors. The Screamer sounds a 105 db alarm in a man overboard situation. The Screamer sensor also has a panic button that can be activated manually by the wearer in the event of an emergency.
For more information about Autotether products, visit www.autotether.com.

Specially designed to fit a wide range of vessels, the BilgeKleen™ filter system from Centek Industries automatically removes oil, gas, diesel fuel and other hydrocarbon pollutants from bilge water before it is discharged overboard.
The patented system uses a filtering medium that binds to hydrocarbons and allows water to pass through freely. As a result, over 99.9% of the hydrocarbon pollutants are captured with no increase in pressure to the bilge pump. The BilgeKleen System installs easily to the bilge pump discharge line and includes an absorbent pad for the bilge sump area to capture harmful contaminants where they form.
A variety of BilgeKleen System sizes are available to fit almost any bilge space or application from runabouts to commercial vessels.

All gasoline and diesel engines develop harmful exhaust emissions. The more fuel they burn, the more exhaust emissions they emit into the atmosphere and even in the water. Marine engines burn more fuel per hour than when the same engines are used in an automobiles or trucks so they actually emit more exhaust emissions than on road engines.
A new engine is most efficient. As it burns fuel, it develops carbon deposits (unburned fuel referred to as “gunk”) on valves, pistons and fuel injectors, thus burning more fuel and emitting more emissions than a new or a deposit free engine. Automotive gasoline contains very little detergent to keep engine’s fuel system clean. Most diesel fuel does not contain any detergent.
ValvTect Marine Gasoline and ValvTect Marine Diesel contain proprietary two pronged detergent additives that, not only keep deposits from forming, but clean-up and remove existing deposits in the fuel system. They are test proven to reduce harmful exhaust emissions and reduce fuel consumption. The same detergent additives are contained in ValvTect Ethanol Gasoline Treatment and ValvTect BioGuard Plus 6 aftermarket additives.
Use of ValvTect Marine Fuels and fuel additives can help improve air and water quality while reducing fuel consumption. They are good for the environment and good for your pocketbook.
